UNOH International Students Visited Elida Elementary

UNOH is currently home to more than 100 students from 35 countries.

To help these students acclimate to American culture and the Lima community, a group of them visited Elida Elementary on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 9:15am – 10:15am to meet with local 3rd grade students.

The visit, made at the request of one of the Elida Elementary teachers, will help international students immerse themselves into the local culture and educational scene. International will students go into the classroom, introduce themselves and their home-country to the grade-schoolers, and talk about the culture where they come from. Then both the international students and the elementary students have a conversation about each other’s culture and type of lifestyle they each lead.

This year, UNOH students participating are from Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Malaysia, Netherlands, and Sweden.
