The West Ohio Food Bank will have different pick-up dates for our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP, or more commonly known as the “Senior Box” program) in November and December.

Seniors that are 60 and older who are signed up for the program usually have pick-up times at the food bank set on the 3rd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of each month. Due to the holidays, pickup dates and times for November 2024 will be Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 9am—10am, and Thursday, Nov. 21 from 2pm— 3pm. Pickup dates and times for December 2024 will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 9am—10am and Thursday, Dec. 19 from 2pm—3pm.

Please also note that starting in November 2024, and continuing in December as well as into the new year of 2025, pickup times for the first chance will only be one hour, meaning first chance pickups will be the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9am—10am, and the second chance pickups will be the 4th Thursday of each month from 2pm—3pm.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program works to improve the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age or better, by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. Every month, they receive a box of good-for-you foods such as cheese, milk, juice, oats, cereal, rice, pasta, peanut butter, beans, meat, fish, and canned fruits and vegetables. If you are 60 or older, and meet certain income requirements, you may be eligible to sign up to receive a monthly food box. Applications are available at wofb.org, or call 419-222-7946 for more information.
