Semi Destroyed by Fire in Wyandot County
A semi tractor-trailer unit was destroyed by fire on U.S. 23 in Wyandot County Wednesday evening.
According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses reported a small explosion that sent flames 10 feet into the air.
The northbound lane of 23 was shut down to allow fire personnel access to the scene.
The Pitt Township Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire shortly after arriving.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
