A house was damaged by fire in Alger Wednesday afternoon. According to Alger Fire Chief Tony Watts, firefighters were dispatched at around 1:50 to 1013 North Front Street in the village. A 23 year old Lima man was arrested after an operation conducted by the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and the FBI’s Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force. Daquan E. The Hancock Sheriff's Office is holding an annual community event on Thursday February 24. The public is invited to take part in a discussion on how the community is responding to addiction.
