Runaway Amish Buggy Involved in Accident Monday

A runaway horse drawn buggy was involved in an accident Monday afternoon in Kenton. According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, the horse was pulling the unoccupied buggy east on East Franklin Street and struck a westbound vehicle being operated by Mark Harp, of Kenton. The horse and buggy are owned by Ervin Hershberger, of rural Kenton. Moderate damage occurred to the vehicle, and there were no injuries.

Traffic Stop in Logan County Leads to Arrest of Two Individuals

A recent traffic stop in Logan County led to the arrest of two Dayton residents. According to a release from the Logan County Sheriff's Office, the Logan County Unified Drug Task Force conducted an investigation that resulted in illegal drugs being confiscated.  A loaded firearm , vest, a large amount of cash, 101 Percocet pills, and 95 Xanax pills were obtained from the traffic stop. Cub Scouts Pay Visit to Sheriff’s Office

Cub Scout Den 121 paid a visit to the Hardin County Sheriff’s this past Sunday.  The Cub Scout Den toured the office and communications center. They also got to tour one of the cruisers.  Sheriff Keith Everhart noted his appreciation for the scouts enthusiasm and questions.  He also said he was happy to be the tour guide for the Cub Scouts.

HCCBA Adds Informational Station

An informational station has been added at the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance. It can be found in the breezeway of the entrance of the office located at 225 South Detroit Street in Kenton. The informational station is stocked with tourism magazines and pamphlets.  It is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
