Work on County Annex Building Underway

Work started yesterday on the Hardin County Annex Building to replace exterior brick.   Portions of the sidewalks along West Franklin and South Detroit will be shut down intermittently to pedestrians for approximately one month.   For your safety, you should observe all barriers that are in place and avoid the construction zone.

Dunkirk Easter Egg Hunt Taking Place April 1

The Dunkirk C.I.C. and community businesses will be holding their Annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday April 1. It will start at 2 that afternoon at the Dunkirk Community Park. There are four age groups participating in the hunt,  2-3 years, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 years of age. Poultry Banquet Now Scheduled for April 1

The Hardin County Poultry Banquet will now be held this Saturday April 1 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. The banquet was scheduled for March 25, but it was postponed due to downed power lines in that area. The banquet will be held at the church on State Route 309 just east of Kenton. The doors open at 5pm, and dinner will be served starting at 6.

McGuffey Offers New Online Bill Pay System

The Village of McGuffey's new online bill pay system will be up and running very soon, according to village officials. If residents in McGuffey would like to have their bill emailed to them and pay online, they need to provide their name, address of service and a valid email address. That will help speed up the process and make the transition smoother.

Openings on Forest Park and Recreation Board

The Village of Forest Park and Recreation Board is now accepting applications for part-time, seasonal help.   The position will be approximately 16-20 hours per week from April or May through September or October.   The pay range is $12 to $15 an hour. The Ada Public Library's Overdrive App is being discontinued as of May 1. Library officials are encouraging patrons to switch to the Libby App. They say all you need to do is download the new Libby app, find your library and sign in.
