USV Falls to Continental in Close Matchup
The Upper Scioto Valley Rams came up short against Continental, falling 5-3 on Thursday.
USV jumped out to a 3-0 lead, with early runs sparked by Ruby Risner’s single and a fielder’s choice by Layla Hunsicker. But Continental rallied in the fifth inning, highlighted by Gracie Homier’s two-run homer.
Risner and Raegan Castle combined in the circle for the Lady Rams, while Homier struck out 15 in a complete game for Continental.
Risner, Shalyn Lawrence, Ashlyn Downing, and Audrey Lawrence each had a hit for USV.
