Rotarian, Lynn Webb presents Jeff Dorsey, president of Warriors for Dogs, a newly formed non-profit, with a $350 check toward a new pad of concrete and additional kennels for the Hardin County dog shelter.

Since June of 2024 Jeff has volunteered at the dog shelter.  On some days he spends upwards of 7 hours a day walking, bathing and “hanging out” in the calming room with the dogs at the shelter.

Jeff has lofty goals set for the newly formed non-profit Warriors for Dogs.  He hopes to raise funds to build a 25’x50’ fenced in area, a 10’X10’ concrete slab for additional outside kennels and side and insulate the current outdoor kennels.  His ultimate goal is to build a new state of the art facility and be self-reliant.

If you would like to become a volunteer, stop out to the facility, pick up an application during the open hours of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am -6pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm.

Further information on contributing or volunteering at Warriors for Dogs can be found on their Facebook page or by searching Warriors For Dogs Hardin County.
