Kenton Middle School Announces Tryouts for Dimensions Show Choir

The Kenton Middle School competition show choir, Dimensions, is holding auditions for incoming members, and all 7th grade students are encouraged to participate.

To try out, students must attend a dance clinic on Tuesday, May 20 at 3:30 p.m. in the KMS auditorium. Students should enter through the back doors near the band room or head directly to the auditorium after school. During the clinic, students will learn a short song with choreography that they will perform later that evening during auditions.

Auditions will be conducted in half-hour time slots. Students will first dance in a group and then sing individually for the judging panel, which includes Mr. Daquino, Mrs. Leech, and choreographers Zack and JJ. Once a student has completed both parts of the audition, they are free to leave.

• Boys: If I Only Had a Brain

Please note that auditions are closed to spectators, including family and friends. Anyone accompanying a student may wait in the hallway.

Links to the songs, including sheet music, tracks with guide vocals, and instrumental audition tracks, are included in the audition packet. Students are expected to memorize the audition cut and perform without background vocals. Links to the application and songs can be found in Parent Square.
