Kenton Middle School Raises Over $4,000 at Annual Choose Hope Event
Despite the weather on Tuesday, Kenton Middle School held the annual Choose Hope event.
During the opening ceremonies, KMS recognized names of loved ones that have or had cancer.
After that, they heard from 3 survivors, Amy Long, Lindsay Payne, and Mark Oates about their experiences.
At the end of the ceremony, the students joined guests for the “Survivors Lap”.
The day then transitioned to the field day actives and concluded with the closing ceremony where it was announced that the total raised was just over $4,000, which exceeded last year’s total.
These funds will be donated to Not By Choice, a local non-profit organized to support those with cancer.
