Kenton Rotarian Elisabeth Moore invited Ethan Daniels, Head coach of the Kenton Area Summer Swim Team (KAST), the Kenton Stingrays, and Head coach of the Hardin County YMCA Sea Dragons (HCFY) to Kenton Rotary to speak on the benefits of being a part of a swim team.

Swimming as a sport for fun or competition, is an excellent way to meet new people, stay conditioned for another sport and meet people from other communities.

Ethan stated that swimming promotes healthy living, helps saves lives and helps keep sports diverse at local schools.

Ethan shared that even during the school swimming season, the bonds formed in the pool over the summer carry over—regardless of school rivalries, all the swimmers cheer for one another. This helps build community.
