The United Way of Hardin County’s Day of Caring will take place on Friday, August 15 right after the Kickoff Breakfast.

Executive Director Martha Evans-Nau talks about some of the typical projects they normally do, “We’ve painted, we almost always go out to Lake of Lights. That’s one of the places we normally go out to and help sort through Christmas lights and get things painted and refreshed for their new season. We often go to the Homeless Shelter and do outdoor work, or last year we painted and made a kid friendly room. We’ve done the ball fields, the soccer fields. We’ve gone downtown and weeded garden beds, so literally anything that somebody might need done.”

For the complete discussion, tune in Public Eye Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
