Revitalize Kenton began to implement their plans for the Keep Ohio Beautiful Grant they received in conjunction with Sherwin Williams to revitalize the facade of the Kenton 3 Theatre.

They received 1 of 5 grants awarded in the state.

Monday morning, Board and Committee members Stephanie Temple, Doris Blum, Kelli Bostelman, Caity Ledley and Barb Wyndham met with Max Yankee, an owner of C & Y Painting, who shared his tips on how they should approach the painting project.

The project will be implemented by volunteer labor beginning this Friday, August 15th.

Jamie and Sheri Curlis, who own the theatre, are working with the group on the initial project.

Before painting can begin, the surfaces must be power washed.

A special thanks was given to the Moore family at Elite Exterior Solutions LLC for offering a discounted rate and providing the water for the job.

This morning, Chuck and Luke are at the theatre taking care of the washing, while theatre owner Jamie Curlis works on repairing window frames in preparation for the project’s start.
