The Riverdale boys’ soccer team has had quite a rollercoaster season. At the start, the program was on the verge of being disbanded due to a shortage of players. When the Falcons finally hit the field, they endured a tough regular season, finishing with a 4-13 record. Postseason play, however, has been a different story, with Riverdale going 2-0 so far, including a 4-0 shutout against Lincolnview and a 2-1 win to avenge a loss to Ada.

In the match against the Bulldogs, Cameron Snook led the way with both goals, while goalkeeper Reydon Bishop made history. Bishop broke a school record set in 1999, becoming Riverdale’s all-time leader in saves for a single season, surpassing Ian Decker’s 145 saves.

The Falcons will look to keep their momentum alive on October 21st when they face Fort Jennings.
