Kenton Wildcats Girls Bowling Opens Season with Record-Setting Performance

The Kenton Wildcats Girls Bowling team kicked off their season in record-breaking style Tuesday, defeating Perry in a modified match 2070-1402. They set a school record in the first individual game with a score of 918, highlighted by Brayla Butler’s 218 and Karyn Hopkins’ school-record 288. A 773 in the second individual game secured another school record for the team series at 1691. Adding 379 pins from three baker games, the Wildcats sealed the convincing win. Hopkins also set a school record with a 464 series (288-176), which included the team’s high game of 288. Other scores: Brayla Butler – 374 (218-156), Jazalyn Worthington – 340 (172-168), Shyan Cherry – 273 (137-136), Lynnze Michel – 137, Addie Hites – 103. The Wildcats head to Astro Lanes Thursday night to face Waynesfield.
