The 2025 Shop with a Cop event sponsored by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was a success.
The event took place this past Saturday morning, and 30 children representing each of Hardin County’s school districts were paired with a law enforcement officer to go Christmas shopping for their families.
After shopping, everyone returned to the Sheriff’s Office to wrap the gifts.
Santa stopped by for a visit and gave each child a gift of their own, followed by a pizza lunch provided by Pizza Hut.

Deputies and staff from the Sheriff’s Office, in particular Detective Christina Henderson, planned and coordinated the event. Also assisting with the event were the Sheriff’s Office VIPS, Officers from the Kenton and Forest Police Departments, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Multi County Correctional Center.
