Upper Sandusky Takes 2nd at Colonel Crawford Sprint

The USHS Varsity Girls Swim team took runner-up honors at Saturday’s Colonel Crawford Sprint Invite. The Rams swam strong all day to secure the second-place finish. Standout performances included senior Kyla Conley, who placed third in the 100 Free (1:02.31) and 50 Free (27.45), and joined Aubree Barth, Audrey Gottfried, and Kennedy Guinther for third in the 200 Free Relay (2:00.77). Junior Abigail Ault also shined, taking second in the 100 Fly (1:27.90).

The Upper Sandusky boys also had a solid showing, finishing third overall. Sophomore Drew Leightey placed third in both the 50 Free (25.52) and 25 Free (11.87), and joined Henry Minehart, Ashton Bacon, and Levi Plymale to snag second in the 200 Free Relay (1:45.74) and 200 Medley Relay (2:01.01). Fellow sophomore Ashton Bacon took second in the 100 Fly (1:02.35), while junior Levi Plymale grabbed third in the 100 Back (1:19.45).

Both teams will be back in action tomorrow in their home debut at the Bucyrus YMCA. The meet starts at 5:00 PM.
