Benjamin Logan High School senior Carter Daniels earned a first-place finish at the Heidelberg University High School Indoor Track Meet on Saturday with a jump of 15 feet, placing first in a field of 22 athletes.
Daniels has continued working to improve and recorded a 15-foot, 6-inch jump in practice earlier this week as he trains toward the 16-foot mark.
A senior at Benjamin Logan, Daniels is focused on steady progress and hopes to have the opportunity to compete at the next level, with long-term goals that include pursuing options at the United States Military Academy at West Point or the United States Naval Academy.
Benjamin Logan Schools congratulate Carter on his accomplishment and recognize his continued effort and commitment.
