Cold Weather Advisory Continues Through Tuesday Morning for Hardin and Surrounding Counties

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from today until 10 am Tuesday for Hardin and surrounding counties.

Wind chills are expected to reach 15 below zero and prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia.

Residents are urged to dress in layers, including a hat, face mask, and gloves, if they must go outside.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be windy, with a high near 21 degrees and wind chills as low as minus 13, as west winds of 22 to 29 miles per hour gust up to 40 miles per hour.

Tonight’s lows will be around 3 degrees and wind chills near 14 below.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions and limit outdoor exposure during this period of extreme cold.
