
The Benjamin Logan JV Raiders took down an aggressive Elgin squad 36–29 in girls’ basketball on Tuesday. Jozie Taylor led the way with 11 points and 4 steals, while Addison Kuhn chipped in 6 points, 4 steals, and 10 rebounds. Brielle Kline added 5 points and 4 steals, with Aubrey Harris scoring 4, Illiana Vermillion 3, and Madison Shields 2. The JV Lady Raiders now sit at 11-4 on the season.
The Varsity Raiders pulled off a gritty 60–56 win over the Elgin Comets in a tough, physical non-conference battle. The game was a constant back-and-forth, with defense sparking offense as the team racked up 17 steals.
Stat leaders included Kylie Harner with 15 points; Adilynne Gregg with a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds; Molly Siefring with 9 points; Daylin Varner with 7 points and 6 assists; Paislee Rodenberger with 7 points; Rylan Norviel with 6 points and 7 steals; Jozie Taylor with 4 points; and Kaylee Hays with 2 points. With the win, the Lady Raiders improve to 7–9 on the season.
Next up, both JV and Varsity hit the road Saturday to take on North Union in a CBC matchup.
