The City of Kenton announced that the Perry Street Trunkline Project is set to begin next week.

The project is intended to tie-in the water main that runs under the Scioto River.

City officials stated that Main Street from the Party Shop drive-thru exit to north of the BKP driveway could be closed as early as Feb 9, but will definitely be closed by Feb 23 and is expected to remain closed until March.

The Party Shop will still be accessible from Wayne Street, but drivers will need to turn right when they exit, and BKP ambulance access will remain open.

Wayne Street will have intermittent lane reductions just south of the river before Espy Street, but traffic will continue to flow.  Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully.
