Riverdale soccer, track, and cross‑country standout Eden Barnes has been continuing her athletic career at Ursuline College. Barnes spent two seasons with Ursuline as a defender for their soccer program, bringing the same grit and reliability that defined her high school career.

Before arriving at Ursuline, Barnes wore No. 6 for Riverdale, where she anchored the Falcons’ backline and quickly became one of the program’s most dependable players. Her athletic impact didn’t stop on the soccer field, though. The athlete nicknamed “Hazard” was also a record‑setting runner on Riverdale’s 4×8 relay team, excelling on the track with the same intensity she seemingly brings to everything she does.

Now, after two collegiate soccer seasons, Barnes is picking up a lacrosse stick as she heads from one pitch to another. Transitioning between sports is never easy, but those close to Barnes say her discipline and drive make her uniquely equipped to thrive. That determination showed immediately, in her very first lacrosse game, Barnes led the Arrows in ground balls, showing that her competitive edge translates seamlessly from one field to another.
