
Two people were killed in a head-on crash that was reported to 911 at 5:49 Monday evening on US 68 near State Route 701 south of Dunkirk.
According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, 66-year-old Dori Spencer, of Dunkirk, was driving north on 68 when she traveled left of center.
Her vehicle struck a southbound car being operated by 27-year-old Owen Bame, of rural Dunkirk.
Both vehicles were occupied by the driver only.
Bame and Spencer were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
