The Findlay Police Department has been awarded a grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office through its 2026 Summer Holiday Enforcement Program.

The SHEP grant provides federal traffic safety funding to support high-visibility enforcement efforts during the summer months.

These enforcement efforts focus on reducing crashes caused by impaired driving, speeding, and seat belt violations.

Through this grant, officers will conduct targeted traffic enforcement initiatives designed to increase voluntary compliance with Ohio’s traffic laws and enhance roadway safety throughout the Findlay community. Funding supports overtime enforcement efforts during designated campaign periods.

Traffic crashes remain a leading cause of preventable injury and death.

The Findlay Police Department remains committed to proactive enforcement and public education to reduce serious injury and fatal crashes.
