A juvenile bicyclist was injured in a hit‑skip crash Saturday night in downtown Findlay after police say the rider entered a crosswalk against a red pedestrian signal and collided with a vehicle that then fled the scene.
According to the Findlay Police Department, the juvenile was traveling south on the eastern sidewalk of South Main Street around 8:26 p.m. on March 14 when they rode into the East Main Cross Street crosswalk and struck the side of a vehicle turning right from northbound South Main Street.
The bicyclist was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with minor injuries and was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop and has not been identified.
The Findlay Fire Department and Hanco EMS assisted at the scene, and the incident remains under investigation.
