
A multi-vehicle crash occurred early this morning on US 33 near the State Route 4 and State Route 31 interchange in Marysville.
According to a release from the Marysville Police Division, Marysville Police Officers and emergency personnel from the Marysville Fire Division were dispatched to the area at around 2:10 this morning.
Upon arrival, first responder located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Despite sustaining significant injuries, the driver was alert and communicating with responders at the scene.
He was taken first to Memorial Hospital then transferred to a Columbus-area hospital for additional care, and his current condition has not been confirmed.
The crash remains under investigation, and no other information, including on how many vehicles were involved, has been released at this time.
The westbound lanes of US33 were closed for several hours to allow crews to clear wreckage and conduct the initial investigation.
The road was officially reopened at just past 5:30 this morning.
