
COLUMBUS – Trooper Bradley A. Baker, Office of Field Operations, Motorcycle Unit, was promoted to the rank of sergeant on April 5 and was recognized today by Colonel Charles A. Jones, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Training Academy. Sergeant Baker transferred from his previous assignment at the Office of Field Operations, Motorcycle Unit, to serve as assistant post commander at the Marysville Post.
Sergeant Baker began his Patrol career in October 2014 as a member of the 157th Academy Class. He earned his commission in April of the following year and was assigned to the Springfield Post. As a trooper, he was named Post Trooper of the Year in 2023. He earned the Criminal Patrol Award in 2024 and the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement in 2022. He earned the Traffic Safety Award twice. In 2024, he earned the master trooper designation.
