A Lima man was arrested over the weekend and is being held on a charge of suspicion of murder after Lima police were called to investigate a domestic dispute.

According to a released, officers were dispatched 630 Hope Street at around 5:30 this past Saturday evening, and upon arrival, they heard individuals involved in an argument inside.

Further investigation revealed that 29-year-old Tony T. Sibert had ties to the residence and was believed to be the male half involved in the dispute.

Police have been searching for Sibert in relation to the July 23rd, 2022 shooting death of Dejuan Adams, and he had multiple active warrants out for his arrest.

As a result, officers secured the residence and contacted detectives.

Sibert was seen inside and identified by officers on the outside of the apartment, so a search warrant was obtained.

The Lima Police Department Crisis Negotiation Team and SWAT teams were contacted and responded to the scene for support.

When negotiations with Sibert stalled, the SWAT team completed the warrant service and ultimately took the suspect into custody.

Sibert was eventually transported to and held at the Allen County Jail on charges stemming from the warrants, Obstructing Official Business and suspicion of Murder.
