
Kenton hosted the 2026 WBL Track & Field Championships at Robinson Field on Wednesday, May 13, and Friday, May 15.
The girls’ team placed 5th overall, while the boys’ team came in 6th.
Individually, Addi Manns clocked an impressive 11:16.81 in the 3200m, dominating the WBL championship by a huge 30-second margin. This victory makes her a 2-time WBL Champion in the event..
The event saw some impressive performances all around. In the Girls 400m, Janeysa Legge placed 6th, while in the Girls 800m, Quinlyn Spearman took 2nd with a new school record of 2:18.42. Addi Manns earned 3rd in the Girls 1600m. The Girls 4x200m relay team of Addy Haudenschield, Janeysa Legge, Josie Schwemer, and Quinlyn Spearman finished 5th, and the same squad took 4th in the Girls 4x400m. In the Girls 4x800m, Addi Manns, Marissa Ledley, Addy Haudenschield, and Quinlyn Spearman grabbed 3rd. Olivia Sherman placed 4th in Pole Vault. On the boys’ side, Garry Phipps was 4th in the 800m, and Wade Manns took 4th in the 1600m and 2nd in the 3200m. In the field events, Luke Hensel earned 3rd in Shot Put and 2nd in Discus, while Tommy Mustain claimed 2nd in Pole Vault.
