The Lynn Valley Farmers 4-H Club met on June 3, 2026. The meeting began with a Health & Safety report presented by Brooke Brammell.
Following the report, members split into committees to finalize plans that had been discussed during the previous meeting. The Fair Booth Committee voted to move forward with a Wizard of Oz theme for this year’s fair booth. Plans include featuring the club officers as the main characters from the story, while members’ 4-H projects will be displayed within a tornado-themed section of the exhibit.
The T-Shirt and Apparel Committee designed a new club apparel logo to match the Wizard of Oz theme. The proposed design includes the themed logo on the back of the apparel, while the front will feature the club name. Officers will also have their office title displayed beneath the club name. The apparel will be black in color and will feature a cancer awareness ribbon on the sleeve in support of a fellow 4-H member who is currently undergoing treatments.
The End-of-Year Party Committee discussed several ideas for the club’s year-end celebration, including a cookout, raffle, bonfire, and s’mores. After discussion, the club passed a motion to hold a cookout at the end of the year.
The Community Service Committee discussed opportunities to assist the fairgrounds with cleanup and improvement projects following the recent tornado.
The meeting concluded with demonstrations presented by Brooke Brammell, Jake Brammell, and Luke Brammell.
The Lynn Valley Farmers 4-H Club continues to make progress on its fair preparations, community service efforts, and club activities while providing members with valuable leadership and learning experiences.
