
WARREN – Felony drug charges were filed against a 34-year-old man from Erie, PA following a traffic stop in Lake County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 2.2 pounds of cocaine worth approximately $30,000.
On March 6, at approximately 12:44 p.m., troopers stopped a 2026 Jeep Wrangler with Illinois registration for a moving violation on Interstate 90. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed the contraband.
The driver, Shawn Jones, 34, Erie, PA, was incarcerated at the Lake County Jail and charged with possession of drugs and trafficking drugs, both first-degree felonies.
