The home of David and Holly Conover, located just east of Kenton on State Route 67, has received the June Beautification Award from Keep Hardin County Beautiful.
If you find yourself driving along SR 67E just a mile or two outside of town, take a glance to the north at 16529 SR 67, you’ll see the beautiful home of David and Holly Conover. Shaded by large, welcoming trees and complete with a peaceful pond out back, their property is a lovely sight even from the road. But once you pull into the driveway, you quickly realize there’s even more to appreciate.
It’s clear the Conover’s have poured a lot of time and care into making their landscape just the way they like it. Their front porch is decorated with charm, creating a warm and inviting feel, while the fence is lined with flags in honor of the upcoming 250th celebration—and keeps their beloved pets safe at the same time.
As you walk toward the house, one thing really stands out—the health and beauty of their plants. Everything is thriving. There aren’t any weeds or fading blooms, just vibrant flowers and lush greenery. Anyone who enjoys gardening knows that takes dedication, and the Conover’s are proud of the work they’ve put in over the years. Since moving in, they’ve made thoughtful changes and have truly enjoyed watching their vision come to life.
Around the front porch, neatly trimmed bushes add to the home’s curb appeal. As you continue around the yard, you can see how much attention has gone into every detail. Each plant has been carefully placed to bring out the best in both its growth and its beauty.
The Conover’s spend many happy hours outdoors, tending to their yard—planting, weeding, and making sure everything is just right. It’s easy to picture sitting on their front porch with a cold glass of lemonade, taking in the view and watching the world go by. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and simply enjoy the moment.
