Hardin County Community Foundation Dedicates Tree in Memory of Charles Van Dyne

Kenton, OH – Members of the Board of Trustees of the Hardin County Community Foundation gathered to dedicate a Shumard Oak planted in memory of Charles Van Dyne on the south lawn of the courthouse. 

The Hardin County Commissioners graciously approved the planting which was completed by New Leaf Landscape Center of Kenton. 

Charles was a founding member of the foundation and served as a Trustee and the Grant Committee Chair from 1991-2025.  In memory of his 34 years of service not only to the foundation but to our community and our nation (United States Army) the foundation donated the funds and dedicated “Charles’ Tree” on June 24th
