The American Red Cross is facing an emergency blood shortage and needs donors to give now and take steps to protect patient care.

A steep decline in blood donations since the end of May has created a growing gap between supply and patient need.

Every donation is critical to rebuilding the nation’s blood supply.

The most important way to help end the blood shortage is to book an appointment to give blood, platelets or plasma as soon as possible.

Everyone who gives from now through July 31 will receive a Fandango Movie Ticket by email.

The next blood drive in Kenton will be on Monday, July 20.

It will take place from noon until 6:00pm at the Kenton Moose Lodge, located at 801 West Lima Street.

Additional details can be found at RedCrossBlood.org/July.
