KENTON- The Kenton-Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance (KHCD) is proud to celebrate the grand opening of Boom Stick Armory, the newest locally owned business to join downtown Kenton’s growing business community.
Located at 120 N. Detroit Street, Boom Stick Armory officially opened Monday, offering firearms, ammunition, accessories, and knowledgeable customer service for sportsmen, collectors, recreational shooters, and responsible firearm owners throughout Hardin County and the surrounding region.
The business is co-owned by Justyn Clevenger and Blake McElroy, two entrepreneurs who share a commitment to exceptional customer service, responsible firearm ownership, and continued investment in the Kenton community.
For Blake McElroy, Monday’s opening represents another chapter in a longstanding commitment to downtown Kenton. Alongside his wife, Emily McElroy, Blake is the owner of price McElroy Funeral Home and has invested in the preservation and redevelopment of numerous commercial properties throughout downtown. Their dedication to strengthening the local business district has made them respected advocates for Kenton’s continued growth and revitalization.
Boom Stick Armory will be open:
* Monday – Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
* Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – Noon
* Sunday: Closed
“Opening Boom Stick Armory has been a dream that has taken countless hours of planning, hard work, and faith to bring to life,” said Justyn Clevenger and Blake McElroy, co-owners of Boom Stick Armory. “We wanted to create more than just a retail store. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where customers receive honest advice, quality products, and exceptional service. We are proud to invest in downtown Kenton and grateful for the incredible support we’ve already received from our families, friends, and this community. We look forward to serving Hardin County for many years to come.”
KHCD Coordinator Jennifer Ramge said Boom Stick Armory is another example of the positive momentum taking place throughout downtown Kenton.
“Every new storefront that opens represents confidence in our community and another step forward in Kenton’s revitalization,” Ramge said. “Justyn and Blake are investing not only in a business, but in the future of downtown Kenton. Blake and Emily have already demonstrated their commitment through McElroy Price Funeral Home and their continued investment in downtown properties. Together with Justyn, they exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit that is helping strengthen our local economy. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with them and look forward to watching Boom Stick Armory become another successful downtown business.”
Boom Stick Armory joins a growing list of entrepreneurs choosing to invest in downtown Kenton, contributing to increased business activity, occupied storefronts, and renewed energy throughout the historic district. These investments are a testament to the collaborative efforts of local business owners, property owners, community volunteers, city leadership, and organizations working together to create a vibrant downtown that serves residents, visitors, and future generations.
Community members are encouraged to stop by Boom Stick Armory, meet the owners, tour the new store, and support another locally owned business committed to Hardin County.
