Columbus Man Arrested in Fatal Marion County Stabbing

A Columbus man has been arrested for murder in connection to a stabbing that occurred in Marion Wednesday night.

According to a release from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, on August 19, 2026, at 9:27 PM, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1800-Block of Twin Lakes Drive.

Upon arrival, deputies located one female victim deceased at the scene and a second female victim with life threatening injuries. The suspect had fled the scene.

Marion Township Fire responded to the scene and transported the surviving victim to Marion General Hospital, and she was later flown to a Columbus hospital. The surviving victim is a 50-year-old female whose identity is not being disclosed at this time.

The suspect in this case was apprehended by Delaware City Police. He was returned to Marion County and is currently incarcerated in the Marion-Hardin Multi-County Jail.

The deceased victim in this case has been identified as Taylor Rae Coleman, 31 years of age from Columbus.

The suspect is Donald Alan Adams, 41 years of age from Columbus. He is being held on a charge of Murder and other charges will be forthcoming after the case is reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office thanked the following agencies for their assistance in this case: Marion City Police Department, Marion Township Fire Department, Delaware City Police Department, BCI’s Crime Scene Unit, Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
