Kenton City Council Held 16th Session Monday Evening

Kenton City Council met Monday evening.

During the meeting, Safety Service Director Cindy Murray announced that Burl Helton, from the Public Works Department, will be retiring.

She said his last day on the job will be September 11 after 32 years on the job.

Murray thanked him for “the tremendous amount of work that he’s done for the city and dedication that he’s had.”

Mayor Lynn Webb announced the city will have a booth at this year’s Hardin County Fair September 8 through the 13.

She encouraged the public to visit, and official will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
