Forest’s Elwood Motorsports Claims Weekend Championship at MCC
Forest based Elwood Motorsports took part in the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati’s Weekend Luau Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Alan Elwood, driver of the PPC, RRD,Quest, MJB, number 5 would set fast time in practice on Friday.
Saturday saw Elwood continue his fast pace qualifying on the pole, winning the pre final and finishing second in the final. AJ Roderick, owner of RRD, made the call for a setup change for Sunday and Elwood would again capture the pole and would win the pre final by over a second.
The green flag dropped on the final and Elwood grabbed the lead and never looked back winning by three seconds. The performance netted Elwood a weekend championship.
The Elwood’s will be back in action at MCC later this weekend.
