Kenton Fire Department Asks Visitors to Use Designated Entrance

If you need to visit the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters ask that you be courteous and use the front door, ring the doorbell, and a crew member will be with you shortly.

The friendly reminder was posted this week on the Kenton Professional Firefighter’s Local 563 Facebook page stating that everyone is welcome to stop at the firehouse, but they prefer that you not let yourself in and wander the station to find them.

If the bay doors are open, they request that you not enter that way as well, because trucks come and go multiple times a day responding to emergencies and they do not want to risk anyone being injured.

If the crew is out on a call and no one is available to answer the door, you can call the station at 419-673-1235, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

If it’s an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
