A resolution regarding alcoholic beverages at the Hardin County Fairgrounds will be proposed at the Hardin County Agricultural Society’s Annual Meeting next month.

The Agricultural Society wants to allow alcoholic beverages to be transported onto the confines of the Hardin County Fairgrounds, including all buildings and grounds, and to be possessed, served, dispensed, or sold at events authorized by the Hardin County Agricultural Society.

Nothing in the resolution would authorize alcoholic beverages at a time, place, event, or in a manner prohibited by Ohio law, and the agricultural society shall not permit, during any fair, or for one week before or three days after any fair, any dealing in spirituous liquors anywhere on the fairground.

You must have purchased a $2.00 membership ticket, in addition to your fair season pass, to vote on the policy change. The last day to purchase a membership ticket is Wednesday, October 14.

The annual meeting will start at 6:30pm on Wednesday, November 4 in the Community Building at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton.
