Workers at Wilson Sporting Goods in Ada are conducting informational picketing as they push for better wages and benefits.

The workers have been picketing this week during their lunch breaks, with half of them going from 11:00 until 11:30 am and the other half from 11:30 until noon.

The plant’s Union President Derek Gibson said the current contract expires this Friday, October 16.

He said Wilson has offered them what he calls “terrible contracts,” and he said he can see workers “easily turning down” what’s currently on the table.

Voting on whether to call for a formal strike will take place from 3:00 until 5:00 pm Friday, October 16.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
