Leaf pickup in the City of Kenton begins the week of November 9.
City officials announced that it will start in the first ward on that day.
It will then move to the fourth ward on November 16, third ward on November 23 and the second ward on November 30.
Crews will not be collecting leaves before November 9, but if residents have already started fall cleanup and need to dispose of them before that date, they may take leaves, grass clippings, and garden debris free of charge to the Hardin County Solid Waste and Recycling Center, loctaed at 45 Jones Road.
When collection begins, rake leaves to the edge of the tree lawn only and keep them out of the street, because they can clog storm sewers and contribute to flooding during heavy rain.
Once the program begins, bagged leaves may be placed in front of your residence for pickup by calling the city or submitting a report a concern request by visiting cityofkenton.com/report.
