Kenton City Council’s Legislative Committee is beginning discussions on potential data center regulations following the recently approved temporary moratorium.
According to information on the City of Kenton Government Facebook page, this proactive effort is focused on protecting city resources, establishing clear standards, defining community expectations, and ensuring the city is prepared should a data center ever consider the city in the future.
Kenton officials have emphasized that there has been no communication with any data center developer at this time.
This meeting is the first of several discussions that will help shape future recommendations, and it will be held Wednesday, October 28 starting at 4:30 pm in Council Chambers at 111 West Franklin Street.
Residents are encouraged to attend, stay informed, and share their input as these important discussions begin.
