A vandalism to property belonging to CSX Railroad was reported to the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday.
According to the report, a deputy was dispatched to the north side of Carey regarding a report that someone had shot the overhead railroad lights for trains travelling on the tracks.
An employee was able to extract a partial bullet from one of the lights.
The estimated cost for repairs was between $1600 to $2000.
A Special Agent with CSX Railroad was advised of the incident, which remains under investigation.
