House Fire in Kenton Ruled as Arson

A vacant house in Kenton was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning.

 

According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to 701 South Wayne Street. The house was totally destroyed.

 

The fire has been ruled an arson and is under investigation.

 

A reward of up to $5000 is being offered for information leading to the identification of a person responsible for the fire.

 

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Kenton Fire Department at 419-673-1235 or the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office at 419-673-1268.

 

Mutual assistance was provided by fire departments from Belle center, Mt. Victory and Forest.

 

There were no injuries, and firefighters were on the scene for just under three hours.
