While there has been a Hepatitis A outbreak around Ohio that started almost a year ago, Hardin County has seen only one case.

Cindy Keller, Director of Nursing at the Kenton-Hardin Health Department said that does not constitute an outbreak in this area.

Keller said though it is recommended that you be vaccinated, and you can do that at the Health Department in Kenton.

She added that since Hepatitis A is not a bloodborne disease, washing your hands can also keep it from spreading.
