A man was injured in a fire that destroyed a house early Wednesday morning west of Mt. Victory.
According to Mt. Victory Fire Chief Denny Hinton, firefighters were dispatched around 1:30 to 19463 Township Road 177, which is owned by Gary Hudson.
The house was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived.
The homeowner was was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital and later transferred to a Columbus hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a heater on the front porch.
Firefighters were on the scene until around 10 Wednesday morning and were called around 2:30 this morning when the fire rekindled.
Mutual assistance was provided by fire departments from Northern Union, Kenton, Ridgeway and Richland Township.
