The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous calls in reference to snowmobiles trespassing on private property, especially yards and farmland.

According to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook posting, many fields have crops planted, such as wheat and alfalfa.

Riding on land with wheat and alfalfa planted can cause damage to the crop.

Authorities advise those operating snowmobiles to get written permission from landowners if you want to ride on farmland.
