A deputy at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office received a promotion at a ceremony held Monday.
Austin Carey was promoted to Sergeant.
He is a 10 year member of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Carey will supervise 2nd shift and continue his assignment as a K-9 handler and member of the Strategic Response Team.
He was joined at Monday’s promotion ceremony by his family, members of the Sheriff’s Office and his K-9 partner, Juno.
