The Suicide Coalition Board of Hardin County is holding a suicide prevention walk this Sunday September 19.
Board member Phil Compton talks about the purpose of the walk, ”Basically it’s raising awareness of suicides, suicide prevention and the services that are provided to those dealing with the loss of family members to suicide.”
He said the walk will start at one this Sunday afternoon at the Hardin County Courthouse in Kenton, ”And they will walk around the courthouse and then I think they’re going to be walking back to the We Care Center.”
The We Care Center is located at 775 East Eliza Street in Kenton.
He added that the event is open to anyone interested and is free to participate.
